Magic Dan, children's magician and beloved Project READ performer, entertained our families at this month's family Story Hour. Families took part in this interactive magic show. With about 70 learners, families, tutors and friends in attendance, the night was filled with magic. Each family went home with a new family book, The Subway Ride, as well as self-selected titles of all genres.
Volunteers from Hands On Bay Area (HOBA) and students from Woodside Middle school along with their teacher came to help students create pre-literacy crafts related to the book and Thanksgiving.
Through the generosity of community partner, Second Harvest Food Bank, we were able to
give fresh vegetables and dried goods to families. There was much to be thankful for at November's Story Hour.
